e-Learning is a large-scale governmental project included in National Program for Education Development in the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2011-2020.
Within 2011-2013, e-Learning was deployed in 1159 education organizations countrywide, including 87 technical and vocational education organizations. By 2020, the e-Learning system is to be used in 90% secondary education organizations.
Digital educational resources refer to digital instructional materials on the disciplines studied, which enable learning in interactive format: photographs, video-fragments, static and dynamic models, virtual reality and interactive modelling objects, audio records, and other learning materials.
This is an analogue of traditional class register. Automated uploading of the list of students in class/group, date and subject of a class. Capability of entering different types of grades or several marks at a time, with comments. Automated displaying of the received grades and home-tasks in a student’s gradebook.
This is an analogue of traditional student’s gradebook and student progress report. It displays schedule of classes, current and final grades with teacher’s comments, and home tasks. Available to parent for control over a child’s academic progress and attendance.
The system contains sending out SMS and emails informing of the facts of students’ absence at classes, of current grades and other prompt information.

Additional computer- and mobile classrooms, all-in-one PCs, interactive whiteboards and projectors supplied as part of the project enhance the e-Learning accessibility and effectiveness.
Internet with the speed of 4 to10 Mbps connected to each education organization involved in the project enables continuous learning process using information and communication technologies.
Combining the Internet wireless access technologies with mobile PCs allows making the learning process more amusing and exciting, and conducting classes outside the school premises, at any time with no limitations of school class, in any place within the wireless network coverage.
Adobe Connect webinars are used for arranging and conducting real-time distance training and workshops.
Adobe Captivate and Adobe Creative Suite content development tools are used for teachers to create interactive learning materials.
Classroom Management System (CRMS) is designed for computerized teaching to foreign languages and other disciplines, for control over students’ activities, for remote management of computers, for checking knowledge, file sharing, and for personal communication.
In August 2013, the MES RK’s e-services were launched: "Acceptance of documents for enrollment to comprehensive schools" and "Acceptance of documents for provision of free meals to certain categories of students in comprehensive schools".
